Find a Hearing Care Professional

Be sure to stay connected by including hearing health checks into your wellness routine! During your initial appointment with a hearing care professional (HCP), you will review your medical history with the HCP to understand any genetic and medical issues or past traumas that could affect your hearing. An evaluation of your past or current noise exposure will be discussed, followed by an exam of your ear canal and ear drum. Finally, a pure tone test will be conducted to understand your ability to hear different frequencies at various volumes, and a speech test may also be included to determine your ability to recognize spoken words at different volumes and with the addition of background noise.

By completing these steps, the HCP will be able to give you a comprehensive overview of your hearing abilities. If necessary, you will be offered options for treating hearing loss with hearing aid technology.
