Excellent hearing in great design: Phonak succeeds with Audéo MINI at red dot product design award 2010
Smallest Behind-the-ear hearing device awarded for outstanding quality of design
Stäfa, Switzerland, 22 March 2010 — Phonak, the leading manufacturer of innovative hearing systems, strongly focuses on functionality, quality and design in its product development. This approach has been recognized at this year's red dot product design awards: The Swiss manufacturer has been awarded with the "red dot" for its quality of design and the high innovation degree in the Audéo MINI hearing system.
Audéo MINI — small and flexible
Hearing aid wearers that appreciate a discreet solution will love Audéo MINI, which disappears completely behind the ear while offering maximum performance. It automatically adapts to changing hearing situations; the integrated directional microphones focus on the speech source and reduce surrounding noise, providing excellent understanding even in challenging conversation situations. Audéo MINI is especially easy to use and so attractive it is almost a shame to hide it behind the ear.
"We feel honoured to be awarded with the prestigious red dot product design award", states Alexander Zschokke, Group Vice President Marketing Phonak. "It has always been our goal to combine innovative features, highest quality and an attractive design in our products. The fact that one of our latest product innovations, Audéo MINI has been acknowledged by the high-ranking awards jury confirms the validity and relevance of this approach."
Audéo MINI has been selected by an international jury of 30 design experts among 4,252 submitted products from 57 different countries. The official prize ceremony will take place on July 5, 2010 in Essen, Germany.
